Amazingly QATAR are still flying

Qatar Airways increases flights

Just a few days ago I wrote about how Qatar Airways planned on parking their A380s, but the airline has now reversed course. Qatar Airways is upgrading existing flights and even adding additional frequencies in other markets.
This comes as Emirates, Etihad, FlyDubai, and Oman Air all shut down operations for at least a couple of weeks.
Since yesterday, Qatar Airways has:
  • Added 10,000 extra seats to their network
  • Added charter service to Europe and the US from Asia
  • Added extra flights to Dublin, Paris, and Perth
  • Upgraded flights to Frankfurt, London, and Perth, to the Airbus A380

This has always interested me because my family and I flew Lesotho airways to Seychelles and back a week later in 1989

Historical fleet[edit]

Lesotho Airways DHC-6 Twin Otter

Our flight to the Seychelles was on an Air Zimbabwe 707 because the lesotho airways plane had a technical - it (the Lesotho Airways 707) was leased from SAFAIR as far as my research showed.

South African Airways was not permitted to fly to the Seychelles, as a South African man on a chartered Air Swaziland Fokker F28 attempted a coup on the island in 198? 4 or 5. Also SAA was banned from flying there due to the awful political situation - Apartheid.  So TFC tours (the tour operator company that no longer exists ) somehow had an ingenious idea of using a leased 707 operated by the airline Lesotho Airways. I saw last night that this particular aircraft in Lesotho Airways Livery was at AMS at one point?!? Tres interesant.

Why Flight Attendants Walk Airplane Aisles With Bug Spray ...

I think it's time we saw cabin crew walking through the cabin with those spray cans once more?

Coronavirus is super serious!

I was talking to some KLM FA's a couple of years ago and they agreed with me - it prevented all sorts of diseases!

I read Diana Fairchild's book in 1990s, she was a Pan Am FA who fell very ill from sprays side effects, but their positive effect in controlling disease greater numbers than FAs who fell ill from them!?!
