Sabena



Sabena began operations on 23 May 1923 as the national carrier of Belgium.


AVIA airlines


Avia (ICAO: AGW) was an airline based in JohannesburgSouth Africa, it started operations in April 1995 and ended them in September of the same year. Avia flew from Johannesburg to London-Gatwick Airport, which was their only route. They operated one Boeing 747SP.

Senegal Airlines


The airline was launched after Air Sénégal International ceased its operations in 2009, and made its first flights on 25 January 2011

FLITESTAR A320


Flitestar was the first South African airline to directly challenge the monopoly of South African Airways (SAA). It was a subsidiary of Trek Airways; the actual name of the airline was Trek Airways Flitestar, but it operated under the brand name Flitestar. The airline began operations on 16 October 1991 using four new leased Airbus A320-211 aircraft.
Flitestar concentrated on serving the business market without neglecting other passengers, which gained it up to 25% of the domestic market with load factors of 63% or more. On 11 April 1994 Flitestar and Trek Airways ceased operations.

WestJet passengers evacuated after plane clips jet on Pearson tarmac

According to WestJet, flight WS2425, returning to Toronto from Cancun, Mexico, with 168 passengers on board and a crew of six, was on the tarmac when it was hit by a Sunwing plane. Witnesses reported seeing the tail of the Sunwing plane on fire shortly after.
