KLM used a number of Aeroflot Ilyushin 62's. Starting April 1971 and ending november 1972, KLM used nine Ilyushin IL-62’s leased from Aeroflot. 

Jointly Aeroflot and KLM flew a weekly scheduled flight Amsterdam-Moscow-Tokio v.v. The nine different Il-62 used for this service received a small label, KLM on the fuselage and had a full Aeroflot coloursceme. 



1971: Joint KLM/Aeroflot service using an IL-62 on the Amsterdam - Moscow - Tokyo route. Flying directly over the former Soviet Union shaved several hours off flights from Europe to Japan. Japan Air Lines also had a similar arrangement with Aeroflot at this time. Neither service lasted long. I'm guessing the high-pitched screeching noise of the IL-62's engines had something to do with this...🤣KLM used a number of Aeroflot Ilyushin 62's. The flight deck crew as well as the purser were Russians.
Three KLM cabin attendants were onboard.
