The other night (Tuesday) when I checked my sister, Claire in for her flight I thought I would dress up (just a hat and scarf) like the checkin staff you used to get before the days of self service checkin. At one stage they used to choose which seat you were going to sit in! In the early 1990's when we used to fly from MRU-JNB they had a seperate seat assignment desk, and SAA or Air Mauritius, used to have you booked in a certain seat, but you could change this if it was possible to sit elsewhere on the aircraft! How quere?
